Photo Contest Announcement and
Eskaton invites professional and non-professional photographers to send in their best shot to this photo contest.
At Eskaton, we believe that Age is Beautiful. We believe that every year enriches your life and it’s a privilege to live a long life. As a way to share our new brand message and to change the perception of aging in society, we are hosting this photo contest.
The theme of the photo contest is to depict what Age is Beautiful looks like to you. We want positive, uplifting, and heartfelt photos that evoke an emotion. Photographers can send one or two (no more than two) high-quality photographs along with a caption and brief description. A caption and brief description are defined as the title of the photograph and one to two sentences describing how you think the photograph depicts Age is Beautiful.
An entry fee of $20.00 per photograph is suggested.
The prizes are outlined below:
First Place Prize (1) - $2,500
Second Place Prize (1) - $1,000
Honorable Mentioned (6) - $200
The closing date for entries is Friday, November 30, 2018. Contest winners will be posted on this page on Monday, December 17, 2018. Prizes will be presented at an exhibition in January 2019 (date and location to be determined). If you are interested in entering the photo contest, please read the Competition Rules carefully below.
- The Age is Beautiful photo contest is open to any professional or non-professional photographer with the exception of employees and (their immediate family) of Eskaton.
- Contestants must have captured and created the original exposure or exposures.
- A maximum of two entries may be submitted per contestant.
- An entry fee of $20.00 per submission is suggested.
Claim of Ownership
The contestant must own all rights to the photograph(s) submitted and releases for the photograph(s) submitted are the contestant’s responsibility. If a photograph(s) submitted contains any material that belongs to a third party, the producers must obtain permission of the use of that material, so as to allow Eskaton to fully exercise its rights hereunder without any obligation on the part of Eskaton to make any payment to any party whatsoever. If there is any doubt to the ownership of the photograph(s), Eskaton reserves the right to eliminate the photograph(s) from the contest. Contestants must be able to supply a signed release from any person(s) appearing in the photograph(s) or their legal representatives.
A committee made up of Eskaton leadership and communications specialists will judge the entries. Photographs will be judged on the relevance of the contest theme, creativity, and suitability for presentation. All decisions of Age is Beautiful photo contest are final.
Acceptance of Rules
Your participation in the contest indicates acceptance of the contest rules as outlined.
By entering the Eskaton Age is Beautiful photo contest, the contestant/owner of the image expressly grants rights to Eskaton to display that image either electronically or in print format. Please note that all submissions will not be returned to the contestants. Therefore, please ensure you keep a copy of your photograph.
Each photograph must be submitted with a caption and brief description. A caption and brief description are defined as the title of the photograph and one to two sentences describing how you think the photograph depicts Age is Beautiful.
A photograph received without a caption and brief description will be ineligible.
Technical Requirements –
- To be considered, images must be submitted by upload through this website in digital format at a high-resolution JPEG and be 300 DPI and a minimum of 8X10 inches.
- File name: Submitted Image File is to include Contestant’s Name_Image Title_Entry Item Number #

Settlement of Disputes
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or application of these rules shall be amicably settled. In the event of failure of the latter, the dispute shall be settled by arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the modalities to be agreed upon by the parties.
